Son of Nashville’s police chief suspect in the shooting of two Tennessee officers
Two officers in La Vergne, Tenn., were shot and injured Saturday outside a Dollar General. The estranged son of Nashville's police chief is being sought. Police in Tennessee are searching for the estranged son of Nashville's police chief, Michael Drake, who is suspected in the shooting deaths of two police officers outside a Dollar General store. Drake, the son of the police chief and his alleged accomplice, Drake stated that they were estranged and he has had minimal contact with his son over many years. The younger Drake is a convicted felon who "resorted to years of criminal activity" according to Chief Drake. The police are asking for information about Drake's whereabouts.

Police in Tennessee are searching for the estranged son of Nashville’s police chief as the suspect in the shooting of two police officers outside a Dollar General store.
Drake said they were estranged and over many years he has had only minimal contact with his son. The younger Drake is a convicted felon who “resorted to years of criminal activity,” the chief said. “He now needs to be found and held accountable for his actions today. I hope that anyone who sees him or has information about him will contact law enforcement immediately,” Drake said in the statement.
